Functionality
Designing our toys, we have in mind that children need special forms:
-All handles are especially designed for children's hands: the shovel handles have the right size and protect the hand when digging.
-Our watering cans have a big top-opening.
-Our cups have an ergonomically formed lip rim.
-Our knives, forks and spoons have a have a contoured handle for perfect grip, and the knife has a broad pushing ridge for safe cutting.

Selection of Materials
Toys must be durable and safe. As we always want to be better, we manufacture e.g. our children’s dishes from ABS, the best plastic material existing, which is used also for the production of professional household appliance.
We use no PVC!
-20 to +110 °C dishwasher proof
-microwave safe
-suitable for food contact
Colors and design of our items have remained unchanged for many years, thereby allowing further purchases to be made without problems.

Safety
It's only natural that children develop in their 'discovery phase' also the urge to measure their force. Therefore, we pay special attention that there is no danger to be injured at play.

Since 1980 our toys have been complying with the European Norm EN 71 for safety of toys, although it became a law only in 1989.

Our Spielstabil products even excel this safety norm because we do without gluing with poisonous chemicals. Instead, our plastic parts are fixed by hygienic ultrasonic welding. Even with frequent use and intense play, the parts stay together and there is no danger of injuring. All Spielstabil toys have forms and edges that are - depending on their purpose - rounded, and the plastic is breakproof.

As a proof for the fulfillment of highest demands, most of our products got the "spiel gut'" award of the German Committee for Good Toys at Ulm.

Motivation at Play
The first years in the life are determined by play. For a child's social development, playing, especially roll-playing is extremely important.
